From Melbourne to the Middle East: Our Journey of Sustainable Innovation
Phonebot was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 2012 with one aim: to cut the carbon footprint of smartphones by keeping good devices in use for longer through expert refurbishment.
In the UAE, Phonebot is operated by PHONEBOT MOBILE PHONES & ACCESSORIES TRADING CO. L.L.C, a company licensed in Dubai under Trade Licence No. 1068439. We are an independent retailer and not an authorised dealer of Apple, Samsung or any other manufacturer.
2023 marked a defining chapter in our expansion. We launched our dedicated online store for the UAE, bringing tested and graded pre-owned smartphones from brands like Apple, Samsung and others to customers across the Emirates.
In 2025, we opened our retail store in BurJuman Centre, Dubai. You can shop online with delivery across the UAE, or visit the store to see devices in person and get advice from our team. Either way, you get the same testing standards, prices and support.
From the technicians who test and restore each device to the customer service team that answers your questions, we hold every part of Phonebot to the same standard, wherever you choose to shop with us.

At Phonebot, we value product quality, range, fast delivery, fair prices and customer satisfaction. Every refurbished device is tested by our technicians and with diagnostic software before it is listed. We check the screen, battery, cameras, speakers, buttons, charging and network connection. Devices are network unlocked, data-wiped and cleaned before dispatch.
Affordable
Our pricing is designed to be wallet friendly. A refurbished device costs well below the price of a new one, and we check our prices against the market regularly. We keep costs down across our supply chain so that the saving reaches you.
Variety and Pricing
Consumer electronics is a crowded market. We keep it simple: a wide range of tested devices, clear grades, and prices shown in AED including VAT.

We sell refurbished and brand-new smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and accessories from brands like Apple, Samsung and Google.
Our refurbished devices are inspected and graded. Many are change-of-mind returns or ex-demo devices that need only minor work, such as a screen or battery replacement. Each one is refurbished and tested, so you get a phone that works as it should at a fraction of the original price.
Since launching in the UAE, we have brought the same refurbishing standards and customer service that our Australian customers know to shoppers here.

Product Sourcing
Our stock comes mainly from two sources: Australia, and the local UAE market, including customer trade-ins. What we buy depends on price, local demand, the season, and how current a model is.
Hand-picked Items
We inspect devices at every step of assessment. Items are hand-picked, and products that do not meet our quality benchmark are rejected. We review our faults and returns data every month to keep quality consistent.
Many of the devices we buy have had only light use, often as secondary phones issued to staff by organisations. Once refurbished and graded, they are ready for a second life.

Grading
We offer 4 levels of device grading:
- Open Box
- Like New
- A-Grade
- B-Grade
Each listing shows its grade, so you know the cosmetic condition before you buy. Whatever your budget, there is a grade to match it.

Clear warranty
We want you to buy with confidence. Every refurbished device comes with a Phonebot warranty, and the warranty period is shown on each listing, so you know what you are covered for before you buy. Shopping for a phone should be simple. Our website shows current stock, clear grades, and the full price before you pay.
Our online store runs on a customised version of OpenCart with one central stock catalogue, so new stock appears on the website soon after it arrives. Our pre-purchase, post-purchase and support teams are available 7 days a week.
Multiple Payment Options
Pay with Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club or Apple Pay. Payments are processed securely through N-Genius by Network International. All prices are in AED and include 5% VAT.
Fast Delivery
We deliver to all seven emirates with Aramex. Delivery is free on orders of AED 299 or above and AED 25 on orders below AED 299. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours and usually arrive within 1–4 working days, with a tracking number sent by email.
