Condition grades for used Samsung watches

Every second hand Samsung watch is assigned one of four grades. The grade describes the cosmetic condition and the battery, not the functionality. All grades are fully working.

  • Open Box: opened or returned, no signs of use, original accessories as listed on the product page.
  • Like New: no visible marks on the case or screen at normal viewing distance.
  • A-Grade: light wear you have to look for, such as faint marks on the case edge. Battery health 85% or above on older models and 80% or above on newer models.
  • B-Grade: visible marks or scratches on the case, bezel, or screen. Battery health 80% or above. Fully functional.

The grade, case size, connectivity, and colour are stated on each listing so you can compare a Like New Watch 6 against a B-Grade Watch 7 and decide which matters more to you, condition or generation.

What we check before a renewed Samsung watch goes on sale

Each watch goes through a full hardware test before it is graded and listed. That covers the touchscreen and display, rotating bezel or touch bezel, side buttons, heart rate and SpO2 sensors, GPS, microphone and speaker, Bluetooth pairing, wireless charging, and battery health. LTE models also go through an IMEI check against blacklist databases, so the watch you receive is not reported lost, stolen, or carrier blocked.

The watch is then factory reset with the previous owner's Samsung account removed, so it pairs to your phone as a clean device. Every watch is sold unlocked. LTE versions are not tied to Etisalat, du, or any other carrier.

Bluetooth or LTE: which used Samsung watch to buy

Samsung sells most Galaxy Watch generations in two versions and the difference matters more on the second hand market than the case size does.

  • Bluetooth (sometimes listed as GPS or Wi-Fi): connects through your phone. Calls, messages, and streaming work while the phone is in range or on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • LTE (sometimes listed as Cellular or 4G): has its own eSIM so it can make calls, send messages, and stream without the phone nearby. You need a UAE carrier plan that supports eSIM on wearables to use this.

A used LTE watch works as a Bluetooth watch if you never activate the eSIM, so it is the safer choice if you are not sure. The connectivity version is stated in every listing title.

Warranty, returns, and delivery

Pre-owned Samsung watches from Phonebot come with a warranty of up to 12 months. The warranty period is shown on each product page and covers hardware faults, not accidental damage or normal battery wear. If the watch is not what you expected, you have 7 days from delivery to return it.

Does a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Watch work with an iPhone?

Galaxy Watch 4 and later run Wear OS and require an Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer. They do not pair with an iPhone. The Galaxy Watch 3 runs Tizen and pairs with both Android and iPhone through the Galaxy Wearable app. If you use an iPhone, the Watch 3 is the only Samsung option, otherwise look at the refurbished Apple Watch range.

Do all Galaxy Watch features work with a non-Samsung Android phone?

Core functions work with any supported Android phone. Some features, including ECG and blood pressure readings, require the Samsung Health Monitor app, which runs only on Samsung Galaxy phones.

How is battery health measured on a second hand smartwatch?

Battery health is the current maximum capacity as a percentage of the original. A-Grade watches are 85% or above on older models and 80% or above on newer models. B-Grade watches are 80% or above. A watch at 80% will need charging sooner than a new one but still lasts through a normal day on most models.

What is included with a used Samsung watch?

What is the difference between the Watch 8 and the Watch 8 Classic?

The Watch 8 Classic has a physical rotating bezel, a stainless steel case in 46mm, and a larger battery. The standard Watch 8 uses a touch bezel, an aluminium case, and comes in 40mm and 44mm. Both run the same software and sensors.

Is a refurbished Samsung watch the same as a used one?
