Samsung released the S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra together in January 2024 and added the S24 FE in October 2024. They share the same software and design, and differ in screen size, chipset, memory, battery capacity, camera hardware and, on the Ultra, the S Pen.

All four launched on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 and are covered by Samsung's commitment to seven generations of Android version updates and seven years of security updates, which runs to 2031. Condition grades for a used Galaxy S24

Phonebot grades on cosmetic condition. Every grade passes the same functional tests. The grade tells you how the phone looks and, for A-Grade and B-Grade, the minimum tested battery health.

Which refurbished Galaxy S24 Plus grade should I choose?

All grades pass the same tests, so choose on appearance and budget. Like New and Open Box show no marks. Is a used Galaxy S24 from Phonebot unlocked, and does it support eSIM?

Should I buy a refurbished Galaxy S24 or a newer S25 or S26?

The S25 series arrived in February 2025 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in every region, 12GB RAM on the base S25, and an update window that runs a year longer, to 2032 against 2031 for the S24. Battery capacities are unchanged, and the S25 and S25 Plus use the same camera set as the S24 and S24 Plus; only the S25 Ultra gains a 50MP ultrawide. The S26 series followed in March 2026 and is the current generation. Samsung's seven-year update commitment applies to all three, so a refurbished S24 bought in 2026 still receives Android version and security updates for about five more years. What is the difference between the S24 Ultra and the S24 Plus?

The Ultra adds a built-in S Pen, a titanium frame, a flat 6.8 inch display with Gorilla Armor glass, a 200MP main camera, a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto and a 1TB storage option. It also uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in every region. The S24 Plus has the same 12GB RAM, a 6.7 inch QHD+ display, a 4,900mAh battery against the Ultra's 5,000mAh, and weighs 196g against 232g.
